Love bites, so do I, and in this new ensemble out on Valentines Day, you will look so tempting they will be begging to sink their fangs into you. A deep scarlet, sumptuously crushed velvet forms the lines of this body-sculpting garment, hugging and accenting curves. The black sheer panels underneath give just enough of a hint of skin to tease the eye as you move, with the flare of elegant skirts keeping the eyes moving with you. A short black-marbled crushed velvet overjacket covers your shoulders if you want to avoid a chill, and those fangs until you are ready to bare just a little more skin. To top it off, we have included an intricately designed gothic hearts bracelet to adorn the ensemble not only on this Valentine’s Day, but any day you feel like wearing your vampire heart on your sleeve.

Overdue Updates

It’s been quite a while since we’ve done any updates on the blog, so rather than post the releases since the last one below, I’ve decided to just update the catalog (link up above) and carry on. The last few months have been busy, not with VampArt so much as RL and other inworld interests. We’ve continued to set up affiliates, design for hunts and other events inworld and not really concentrated too much on the main product line. This had some interesting eye openers, while sales dipped only slightly due to the recession and holiday season, interest from people wanting either an affiliate vendor or store increased. Could this be the beginning of a turnaround for the economy in SL?

If you’re wondering how I came to that conclusion bare with me. Startup businesses ie: clubs, malls, clan sims, seem to be on the increase, and these new individuals are seeing that it’s near impossible to lure in quality vendors and expect them to pay rent in an unproven venue especially with the economy. They’re more than willing to enter into a profit splitting agreement. Quality vendors willing to take the plunge aren’t really suffering much even with sharing revenue. The business owner now has the ability to draw in the type of traffic they desire by tailoring the vendors they work with, and with good vendors comes good repeat traffic. In the past business owners were more concerned about tier and profit ie: “pay rent or go away, I need to make tier”. Now it seems they understand that we need to work together and at least build something and understand that while we may not be able to cover tier initially, we’re sure as heck defraying some of the cost. Remember I’m talking about startups, not established venues. One bridge that will have to be crossed eventually though, is that when the economy or particular business is booming again, do you stay in a profit sharing agreement or go back to the standard vendor pays rent and keeps all sales? Hmmmm….

Funny story about this one Originally the sheer top had some shadowing that reminded Casper of a face. I didn’t see it, but he’s weird and I didn’t pay it much attention. He took the image and highlighted the *face* and indeed it was there. He referred to the face as *Fred*. Well, Fred may be gone, but his legacy remains as we named the outfit in his honor.

Sporting sculpted cuffs with pegged draw straps and a spartan burlap texture theme, it’s a mix of casual and class with the toreador style jacket with tuxedo like front panels and velvet trimming. The leather pants with velvet trim have slashed pockets in front and one on the back. The open front peeks down just enough to be sexy but still modest. Fingerless opera gloves compliment the package along with the sheer top also trimmed in velvet. Guaranteed to raise the dead ….will Freddie return?

Hello boys and ghouls! It’s time to party and show off our wild side! Have you ever seen anything so cute? Hip, sexy, funky, and deadly, it’s time to hit the clubs in search of some new talent and look devastating in the process. Knit top, fingerless opera gloves, bootie shorts, and some eye catching socks round out this new release. Ribbons and bows are cute *gag*, but ribbons and bones are where it’s at if you’re a creature of the night! They’ll be staring at you from head to toe and back again…catching prey was never so easy…almost takes the fun out of it…not! Definitely a step in a bit of a different direction for VaMpArT, but we did promise to fill your wardrobe for every occasion darlings….enjoy!

~New Release~ InDeath

It’s time, time for something new and here it is! I had to throw an outfit together for a wedding last week and I wasn’t quite happy with the results. I mean, everything looked good, I just wanted something different that wasn’t already hanging in the closet without straying too far from my style. InDeath is the result. The top and pants are a semi transparent lace design that highlights and teases. Nothing sexier than black lace RAWR! Accented with lace finger gloves gives it that old world feel while the burgundy jacket covers just enough to make it respectable, not that we care. Available at a VaMpArT near you!

Welcome to VampArt’s little corner of the blogworld. It’s still pretty bare but at least I’ve decorated the walls to suit the image of the store. Soon to come will be a catalog of the product line, a gallery of customers wearing their outfits and their thoughts on them. Some simple how-to tutorials…and who knows what else…
